New Year’s Resolutions For Moms (From Moms)

The New Year is around the corner which means it is time to set resolutions that will allow you to thrive as a mother. Resolutions that will make you happier, stronger and overall better.  The only people who understand what you as a mother go through on a daily basis are other mothers. Your New Year’s resolution can be something you want to do throughout the year or a personal goal throughout the first month. Whatever it is, here are a few solutions these moms are using to start the year.

Chantea McIntyre – “My New Year’s resolution is to take one day at a time.”

As a mother, we have many responsibilities that at times may overwhelm us. Only focus on what’s in front of you and not the future because at the end of the day everything will work out the way it’s supposed to happen.

Alisha Wedderburn-“My New Year’s resolution is to be your own mom goals. Whatever you wanted to be as a parent, be it, do it, this is 100% your time and journey, 2019 is the year to parent without fear, without concern of what others think, it’s the year to be who you want to be.” It’s your year to make a change in your life. Any goals that you wanted to accomplish make them happen. Whether it’s a goal to change careers, cook a different meal on Fridays or even get out of your comfort zone. Don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way of success.  Strive to be the best you because life is too short.

Michelle Thames – “My New Year’s resolution is more me time because moms deserve it.” Don’t ever forget you are valuable, so take care of yourself mentally, physically and emotionally to keep being the awesome mom you are every day. Approaching a new year with a change in your life is always a scary thing but, it may be necessary to become the person you are destined to grow in the future. Instead of changing your life for those overwhelming resolutions such as waking up before the kids to work out, climbing the highest mountain or reading a hundred books in the year, make one that you can fit into your busy schedule. Find a resolution that will give you motivation every day.  The decision that you choose can be anything as long as it inspires you to better yourself. Setting a resolution for yourself is important because it will direct the course of victory for your life and those around you. Concentrate on one easy decision first then move on to another. One choice accomplished is better than a dozen not completed. This year make a resolution that will not only bring joy into your life but, your children’s as well. It’s time to get rid of the old and start fresh in the New Year. This year will be the best of your life because it is the year for all moms to thrive.
