Denise Woodard is not only the founder of Partake Foods, a company that makes allergy-friendly, healthy snacks from scratch; she is also the mom of her young daughter, Vivienne. Actually, Woodard's inspiration for Partake Foods came from Vivienne.

"Food allergies were never top-of-mind for us, but when our daughter began eating solid foods, it suddenly became clear she had several. And just as suddenly, our lives began to change" – Woodard

Being a mom of a young daughter has taught Woodard many things, and she has faced and understood the challenges that come with having a child with many dietary restrictions. This only fueled her desire to find safe, healthy snacks for her child. The mom of a very active and on-the-go family, she needed to find an allergy-friendly snack that could fuel her family, but was disappointed when she couldn't find anything in stock at her local grocery stores. Knowing that she was not the only health-conscious parent of a child who has dietary restrictions, she did her research.

After learning that 1 in 13 kids are affected by the eight main allergens (wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, and shellfish), she knew that the need for easily accessible allergy-friendly food options were a necessity. As Woodard learned that food allergies are linked to elevated social anxiety and fear of social rejection, she knew that there needed to be a healthier and safer food option on the shelves not only for her daughter, but also for everyone who deals with food allergies. So, naturally, she made her own, and thus, Partake Foods was born.

Her products are also gluten-free, nut-free, Non-GMO, kosher, and vegan. Needless to say, Woodard has dedicated herself to make the best tasting and healthiest snacks. Currently, Partake Foods sells vegan and gluten-free mini cookies in a variety of flavors ranging from birthday cake and double chocolate chip to carrot oat and sweet potato millet. The individual mini cookie boxes are $14.99 each while the variety pack of all 5 boxes is $24.99.
